Approving a quote alone does not reserve your technician. Your service window is only locked in once prepayment is submitted. If additional work is discovered mid-service, a revised Work Order will be issued for your approval before any additional charges are made.

Important to Know
- Approval is determined solely by the BNPL provider — not NorTech
- NorTech cannot influence, modify, or guarantee BNPL approval
- Your BNPL plan activates only after you accept the Completion Report
- If additional work is added, a new BNPL authorization may be required
- BNPL may not be available for emergency services requiring immediate payment

BNPL providers charge NorTech a processing fee for each financed transaction. In the interest of transparency, here’s exactly how that works and what it means for you.
How the Fee Works
- BNPL providers charge NorTech a processing fee per financed transaction
- This fee varies by provider and is based on their pricing structure
- The fee is passed through to you as a BNPL Transaction Fee
- It will be clearly displayed at checkout or included in your invoice
- The fee is non-refundable once the BNPL provider processes the transaction

- Pay with credit or debit card — no BNPL transaction fee applies
- Use your own credit card’s built-in installment plan if available
- Use a digital wallet like Apple Pay or Google Pay — no additional fee
- Apply NorTech credits where applicable to reduce your balance
Why the fee exists
BNPL providers charge us for the financing service. We pass this cost through to ensure fair pricing for customers who pay upfront — it would not be fair to build it into all service prices.
Refunds & Cancellations
Refunds, Adjustments & Cancellations
Here’s exactly how refunds work — including how BNPL refunds are handled, what’s non-refundable, and how partial refunds are processed.
How Refunds Are Routed
- If a refund is approved, NorTech issues it directly to your payment provider
- For BNPL refunds — NorTech sends to the BNPL provider, who adjusts your repayment schedule
- Refunds cannot be issued directly to you — they go back to the original payment source
- For partial refunds, the BNPL provider will update your remaining balance accordingly
- Standard card refunds typically process within 3–7 business days
Non-Refundable Items
- Special-order materials purchased for your project
- Completed labor that was approved via the Completion Report
- Dispatch or trip fees for attended appointments
- Cancellation fees per our Cancellation Policy
- BNPL transaction fees once processed by the provider
- Membership fees (see membership terms)
Chargebacks & Disputes
Attempting to dispute valid BNPL charges through your bank rather than contacting NorTech directly may result in account suspension and denial of future services. If you have a concern with a charge, please contact our support team first — we’ll resolve it quickly.

Important Notes About BNPL
A few important things to keep in mind when using Buy Now, Pay Later with NorTech.
Separate Agreement
Your BNPL plan is a separate agreement between you and the financing provider — not NorTech. NorTech cannot modify BNPL fees, terms, or repayment schedules.
Policies Still Apply
NorTech’s service terms, warranties, and policies apply regardless of your payment method. Choosing BNPL does not change your service rights or obligations.
Emergency Services
BNPL may not be available for emergency services due to the immediate payment requirements. Standard payment methods are recommended for urgent requests.
Keep Your Method Active
Your payment method must remain active and valid for the full BNPL payment term. Expired or cancelled cards may result in missed payments and provider fees.
Your Data Is Secure
All payments are processed through industry-standard encrypted infrastructure. NorTech does not store your full payment details at any time.
Missed BNPL Payments
If you miss a BNPL payment, contact your provider immediately. Late fees and credit impacts are determined by the provider — NorTech has no visibility into your repayment status.

When will I actually be charged?
Your payment method is authorized at booking but only captured after you review and accept the Completion Report at the end of your service. You won’t be charged mid-job.
Can I use BNPL for any service?
Most services qualify for BNPL. Emergency services and some high-value services may be excluded. Available BNPL options will be shown to you at checkout based on your service type and location.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Cancel per our cancellation policy. If the service hasn’t been performed, your payment authorization will be released (typically 3–7 days). Any applicable BNPL plan will be cancelled. Cancellation fees may apply for late notice.
Do you charge interest?
NorTech does not charge interest. BNPL providers may charge interest on longer-term financing plans — always review the provider’s terms before selecting a plan.
What if additional work is needed during my service?
A revised Work Order will be issued for your approval before any additional work begins. You’ll authorize the additional charge separately — nothing extra is captured without your explicit approval.
Can I get a refund if I paid with BNPL?
Yes, if you’re eligible for a refund per our policy. NorTech sends the refund to your BNPL provider, who then adjusts your repayment schedule. Refunds cannot be issued directly to you as cash or to a different payment method.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All transactions are processed through industry-standard encrypted payment infrastructure. NorTech does not store your full card or payment details at any time.
What if I miss a BNPL payment?
Contact your BNPL provider immediately. Late fees and any credit reporting impacts are determined entirely by the provider — NorTech has no control over or visibility into your repayment status with them.
