What We Do
Two Cleanups. Two Very Different Jobs.
Spring cleanup prepares your yard to thrive. Fall cleanup protects it through the winter. They’re not the same service — and they shouldn’t be treated that way.
Spring Cleanup
Wake your yard up right
Leaf & Debris Removal
Winter-matted leaves and debris cleared from lawn, beds, and hard surfaces — letting light and air reach the soil again.
Dead Growth Cutback
Ornamental grasses, perennials, and winter-burned stems cut back to make way for healthy new growth.
Bed Edging & Definition
Garden bed borders re-cut and defined after winter settling — restoring clean lines between lawn and planted areas.
Bed Raking & Loosening
Mulch and soil in beds raked and turned to break up compaction and improve drainage before the growing season starts.
First Mow of the Season
Lawn mowed to the correct spring height with fresh blades — setting a clean baseline for the season ahead.
Winter Damage Assessment
We flag bare patches, frost heave, drainage issues, or plant losses spotted during the cleanup — so you know what to address.
Fall Cleanup
Put your yard to bed the right way
Full Leaf Removal
All fallen leaves cleared from lawn, beds, gutters, and hard surfaces — before they mat down and smother grass and soil over winter.
Final Mow & Cut-Down
Lawn cut to the correct dormancy height — not too short, not too long — to reduce snow mold risk and protect roots through the cold.
Perennial & Shrub Prep
Tender perennials cut back, roses protected, and shrubs given a light tidy — preparing everything for dormancy without over-pruning.
Bed Clearing & Winterizing
Annual plants removed, beds cleared of spent growth, and mulch refreshed or redistributed to insulate roots through freeze cycles.
Hardscape & Drain Clearing
Leaves and debris blown clear from patios, walkways, and drainage points — preventing ice dams, blocked runoff, and surface staining.
Spring-Ready Checklist
We note anything that should be addressed before next spring — so your yard is set up to thrive, not just survive, the off-season.
Leaves Left = Lawn Damage
A layer of matted leaves blocks sunlight and traps moisture, creating the perfect conditions for fungal disease and grass death over winter.
Spring Starts in Fall
A proper fall cleanup is the single biggest thing you can do for next year’s lawn. What you put to bed well, wakes up stronger.
Timing Is Everything
Both cleanups have a narrow window. Too early or too late and you lose most of the benefit. Our pros know exactly when to act in your region.
Prevent Costly Repairs
Skipped cleanups often mean bare patches, dead beds, and damaged hardscaping come spring — all of which cost more to fix than prevent.
Optional Add-Ons
Make It a Complete Seasonal Service
Bundle additional services with your spring or fall cleanup for a fully prepared yard — all in one visit, one crew, one booking.
Overseeding
Fresh grass seed spread into bare or thin patches after spring cleanup — best time to overseed is right after the debris is cleared.
Lawn Aeration
Core aeration opens compacted soil and dramatically improves water, air, and nutrient penetration — pairs perfectly with spring cleanup.
Pre-Emergent Treatment
Weed barrier applied to cleared beds and lawn edges during spring cleanup — stopping weed seeds before they germinate.
Fresh Mulch Application
New mulch spread over cleared beds after fall or spring cleanup — insulating roots, locking in moisture, and finishing the look.
Hedge & Shrub Trim
Full hedge and bush shaping added to your cleanup visit — so everything is tidy, not just the lawn and beds.
Gutter Clearing
Downspouts and gutters cleared of leaves and debris during fall cleanup — preventing blockages, overflow, and water damage over winter.
FAQ
Common Questions
Everything you need to know before booking your spring or fall cleanup.
Ideally, once the last frost has passed and soil temperatures are consistently above 50°F — typically March through April depending on your region. You want to clean up before new growth gets too established, but not so early that you’re working in frozen ground. We factor your location into the scheduling automatically.
After the majority of leaves have fallen but before the ground freezes — usually October through November. Cleaning up too early means you’ll still have leaves coming down. Too late and the leaves mat into the lawn under snow and cause real damage. We help you hit the sweet spot for your specific area.
It depends on property size and the amount of debris. A typical residential yard takes 2–4 hours. Larger properties with heavy leaf loads, extensive beds, or multiple add-ons may take a full day. We send appropriately sized crews so the job gets done in a single visit — no coming back the next day to finish.
Yes — full debris hauling is included in every cleanup. All leaves, cuttings, dead plant material, and bagged debris are removed from your property. We don’t leave piles at the curb for you to deal with. Everything goes with us when we leave.
Yes — and we recommend it. Booking both cleanups together locks in your preferred dates, gets you priority scheduling for both windows, and typically comes with a bundled discount. Just select “both cleanups” when getting your quote and we’ll handle the scheduling for both seasons.
No — most customers aren’t home. As long as our crew has clear access to all areas of the property (unlocked gates, no blocking vehicles in the driveway), we’ll work through the full checklist and send you a completion notification with a summary when we’re finished.
