Scratches that penetrate through the clear coat into the base coat or primer cannot be corrected through polishing alone. Longevity depends on your climate, how often you wash, and how the vehicle is stored. If your vehicle has an existing ceramic coating, certain steps — particularly clay bar treatment and the sealant application — require adjustment to avoid compromising the existing coating.
