Christmas Light Installation

A great holiday display shouldn't cost you a weekend on a ladder or a garage full of totes for the other eleven months. NorTech's Christmas lighting program is a seasonal rental, not a one-day job: NorTech owns the commercial-grade lights, timers, and controllers, and your matched local provider installs them each November, services anything that fails mid-season, and takes it all down and stores it in January — ready to come back next year. Flat-rate pricing, four package tiers, and nothing for you to store or untangle.

A seasonal lighting program, not a one-off light-hanging job

Most "holiday lighting" services in the Bay Area are a single visit: someone hangs lights you bought, and you're on your own for takedown, storage, and whatever's broken or missing next year. NorTech runs it as a managed seasonal program instead — Roofline Only for a clean eave display, Roofline + Landscaping to wrap the trees and bushes too, Full Display for yard figures and custom shapes, and a Commercial tier for storefronts, HOA common areas, and property managers who need multi-year coordination. Every tier is priced flat and installed by a background-checked, vetted local provider who brings the ladder, the clips, and the safety equipment your roof pitch and story count actually require.

You never touch a light, a ladder, or a storage tote

This is the part that makes it recurring instead of a once-a-year scramble: NorTech owns the lights, controllers, and hardware in your display, not you. Your provider installs in the November–early-December window before Bay Area storm season typically settles in, services any outage or storm damage while the display is up, then removes everything in January, inspects it, and stores it until next season. If you're happy with the look, the same design comes back automatically the following November — re-quoted and re-confirmed with you first, never silently re-billed. If you want changes, tell your provider before the next install and the design updates.

Commercial and HOA-managed properties get their own tier

Storefronts, office parks, and HOA common areas need holiday lighting installed and removed on a fixed schedule that doesn't depend on staff availability, and often at a scale a residential crew isn't equipped for. The Commercial tier is built for that: larger linear footage, coordination with property-management schedules, and contract terms that can span multiple seasons. If your HOA requires a design submitted for approval before installation, share those requirements when you book and your provider will build a compliant design around them.

When to book christmas light installation

You want a full roofline lit up for the holidays and don't own — or want to buy — a ladder tall enough to do it safely.
You loved last year's display and don't want to redesign it from scratch, or store four totes of lights and a broken strand of C9s in the garage all year.
Your HOA requires a design submitted for approval before any holiday lighting goes up on a shared or visible exterior.
You manage a storefront, office park, or HOA common area and need lighting installed and removed on a fixed schedule, not whenever someone has a free afternoon.
You want a smart controller so the display turns on and off automatically instead of someone flipping a switch every night.
Last year's lights are damaged, missing bulbs, or outdated, and replacing them yourself isn't how you want to spend a December weekend.

Roofline + Landscaping

Frequently asked

Christmas Light Installation — common questions

No — that's the core of the program. NorTech owns the lights, timers, and controllers used in your display. Your matched provider installs commercial-grade lighting each season and removes it after the holidays; between seasons, everything is inspected and stored, so you never touch a ladder or a storage tote.

Roofline Only covers eave/gutter-line lighting. Roofline + Landscaping adds tree and bush wrapping. Full Display adds yard inflatables and custom shapes on top of that. Commercial is sized for storefronts, office parks, and HOA-managed properties, with multi-year contract terms available. Pricing scales with linear footage and the number of trees/bushes — you'll see the estimate before booking; Full Display and Commercial typically need a quick custom quote rather than instant checkout, since the scope varies more property to property.

Installs typically run mid-November through early December, ahead of the Bay Area's usual storm-season window; takedown happens in January. Your exact dates depend on where you land in that season's install schedule — book early in the season for first pick of dates.

Message your provider through your NorTech portal. Mid-season service calls route back to the same crew and the same inventory record for your property, so whoever comes out already knows exactly what's installed at your address.

If auto-renew is on for your contract, yes — but you're always re-quoted and asked to confirm before the next season's price is charged, never silently re-billed. Want changes? Let your provider know before the next install.

Many Bay Area HOAs require a design submitted for approval before installation. Share your HOA's requirements when you book, and your provider will build a compliant design and can provide documentation for your HOA's review.
