All kinds of work

Pro Business for a licensed contractor

Bigger jobs, stage payments, subs and paperwork. Here is what to turn on, what a first week looks like, and the plan that usually fits. You set every price, and marketplace jobs stay free on every plan.

Your starting pack: Licensed contractor

Larger projects with a license: proposals, permits, trade work and inspections. The pack adds 20 services across plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, roofing and exterior, remodeling, project costs, 7 job forms and 1 agreement starter. The services start with no prices: every price is yours to set, and you can rename or remove anything.

What matters most to you

  • Bill big jobs in stages: a deposit, milestone invoices and a held retainage (from Pro)
  • Estimates with good, better and best options (from Pro)
  • Your helpers and subcontractors: insurance and W-9 tracking, payments, and year-end 1099 totals (from Business)
  • Job costing: materials, expenses, helper payments and hours against what each job brought in (from Business)
  • Card and bank payments to your own account (from Pro)
  • A private page for each customer to see estimates, pay invoices and book again (from Pro)

A typical first week

  1. Add the contractor pack, then set your own price on each line you quote.
  2. Write an estimate and add a milestone schedule: a deposit, stages and a held retainage.
  3. Add your subcontractors with their insurance and W-9 so nothing expires unseen.
  4. Record materials and helper payments against each job to see what it really earned.
  5. Send the customer their private page to review, accept and pay each stage.
